my style: high-waisted jeans forever!

no, that's not my mama back in the day. that's a photo of me six years ago. probably shot on a razor phone in terrible lighting. also busted biting my nail. but i still love this photo. and other than the feathered hair (gasp! perhaps the result of some curling iron experiment), not much has changed. high-waisted jeans and a top is still my standard uniform. it never steers me wrong. styled up or down this look is classic me. but i am convinced it looks good on errrbody.

here are two ways i rock the look now.

look one:

button-down + booties. shirt always tucked in. always. i used to go all in with the shirt tuck but i lean toward the demi-tuck these days. i think because you can be lazy and haphazaard about it. and it covers your butt.

supes chill.

looking slightly less chill but not too try hard.

look two:

cropped top + heels. this is your opportunity ladies to rock that crop top. high jeans are you bff in this department. seriously, high-waisted jeans are the only way i can almost pull off a crop top.
