so let’s address the elephant on the screen. the blog has taken an unplanned hiatus to the point where is an explanation necessary? perhaps you have a few obvious questions such as:

did i quit? well, no. i just took a break. a long one!

will you write more? yes.

when? hahaha. v soon.

and soon is now. oh happy day! somehow between all the things happening, i opened up the blog app and started tapping letters on onto the screen. and here we are. for now…

what really drew me back in was the void in this virtually diary. i didn’t write about our summer beach adventures or camping lake tahoe. i didn’t pour my emotions into a post describing maxwell's first day of kindergarten. i haven’t kept the world in the loop of knox’s collection of endless facial expressions and random phrases. such a bummer right?

so let’s get caught up shall we?

and the emotional first day of kindergarten embrace. spoiler alert: he loves school and has made lots of new friends…

not shown where the hours playing tennis, running around the park, eating fries at shake shack, reading a chapter of captain underpants every night before bed. and all the little big things that make up our lives right now.

i feel caught up enough for now. i’ll try to write again soon.
