our 4th of july!

finally. i saw fireworks! it's seriously been too many years. and a dodgers game. first time! that makes me official now, right LA? and we won! yes, WE WON (ed. note: 'we' did not actually participate in playing said baseball game). and it felt pretty great. i almost bought one of those ridiculous foam finger things and truly enjoyed my overpriced bud light. BUD LIGHT! i hate bud light... but take me to a home game and, well, the taste is just right....

and yes. it was super crowded and the boys were bored for a good half of it. getting home at the end took almost two hours. but I had mentally prepared myself for it all. because i knew it would be worth it. this was our first baseball game AND fireworks as a family. and i'm no sap but family firsts mean a lot to me. that's the thing with firsts; you never get them again. it's one of the best parts of being a young family. everything is new and exciting or one big fat learning experience. and even if it's not a first for josh or me, the same activity with the boys is completely different. it's like living the same life all over again. or seeing the same movie years later. you see the same thing differently. their awe is contagious. and i don't even know how to top that.

this parenting stuff sure does have it's perks.

until next time kids! life has been pretty hectic so give me a few days? thanks ;-)

xoxo, sony
