summer i'm in love

like the song goes, i don't care if it today is blue and tomorrow is grey. summer is here and i say YAY!! we wasted no time hitting up one of our favorite LA beaches, will rogers state beach. and even though the clouds never burned off nor did it warm up enough to fully take off my coverup, it's all good. because it's summa summa summa time. i won't give up on summer!

well they don't call it june gloom for nothing!

what i love best about doing things with little ones, is that they give zero f's about the weather. they would be happy playing on the sand whether it's 60 degrees or 90. on this day it was a chilly 66, not the most ideal! i was a bit of a baby at first but their happy attitude put me in check. and luckily i thought to pack hoodies.

still thoroughly impressed by the ocean. they love to run to the waters edge and run back screaming as the tiny waves chase them in.

should we talk for a minute about this kimono and turban situation? i think we should. they are both by nena & co, a textile company based in utah and guatemala. everything from the line is gorgeous and extremely well made. all of the work is done by mayan artisans who are able to work from home and spend time with their family. the owner, alejandra, herself just had triplets! how's that for perspective.

knox will not quit that binkie :-/ we are trying to ween him off of it. but at the beach we give in. beats him putting sand in his mouth.

and that was our cloudy summer day at the beach. this weekend promises more sun and higher temps. see, i knew i could count on you summer! have a great weekend sunshines!
