the overall dress + p.s. highland park we love you

4 years ago, josh + i had a bit of a love affair with highland park. we'd trek down this way almost every weekend exploring the emerging neighborhood, trolling open houses and discovering horchata lattes. we came really close to buying an adorable 3-bedroom abode. but fate kept us in west hollywood. and sometimes i don't know how i feel about that. because i really do love highland park. it has a small town vibe with just enough modern, artsy + quirkiness to it. but the market quickly skyrocketed right about when we discovered it. word about its reasonably priced craftsman-style homes spread fast. so perhaps we aren't meant to live here (boyle heights we're looking at you!). but we still like to come by and play.

so all that to say, highland park, you are pretty sweet. and so is this overall dress. because enough about real estate. that topic can be a real bummer. fashion however? that never gets old. and you can ALWAYS find a bargain.

and believe me ladies, this purchase was 100% necessary. allow me to demonstrate!
