black + white
this week did not get off to a great start. in fact, it sucked. monday, as usual, came before i was ready. clothes were still in the dryer and my to-list was a page long. i could feel my fifth cold of the season coming on. everything around me began to match the weather: bleak. based on that alone, i was ready to call the week shot.
and then i heard that david bowie died. nooooo. not ziggy stardust! not the goblin king! not yet. or ever. i would never be ready.
i've cried a lot.
in light of this extremely shitty circumstance, where we find ourselves in a world without a bowie in it, i am sharing a few of my favorite moments in black + white. because the world just makes a little more sense without color right now. because bowie was so full of color, and with him gone he's taken some of it with him. i had been wanting to share these on the blog anyway, and now just seems like the right time.

so that was my sappy tribute to bowie. and a fun way for me to title photos. something i doubt i'll ever get to do again. and please oh please should i leave this place soon... tell my husband that I love him very much. he knows... and i love you all. and please oh please consider this last photo for the eulogy shot. though my mom will likely shoot it down. in which case just say ok.
PS RIP DAVID BOWIE. 1/10/16. FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS, EARS + SOULS. MAY YOU MAKE IT TO MARS SOMEHOW. THANKS FOR THE MUSIC. AND THE LABYRINTH.
now let's dance sunshines.
